Kernel42 collects and creates only the data reasonably required to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the application. This policy explains what that means and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information, such as your name, work email address, organization, and authentication details.
  • Content and operational data that you or your organization submit to the application.
  • Technical and security data required to operate the service, including device, browser, IP address, usage, and diagnostic logs.
  • Communications you send to us for support, product inquiries, or account administration.

2. How we use information

We use information only as needed to:

  • Create and administer accounts.
  • Provide the features requested by users and their organizations.
  • Maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and protect the application.
  • Provide support and communicate about the service.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations.

3. Data minimization

We aim to collect the minimum information necessary to run the application. We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer operational data for unrelated advertising.

4. Service providers and disclosure

We may use carefully selected infrastructure, hosting, authentication, analytics, and support providers to operate the application. They may process information only on our instructions and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users, Kernel42, or the public.

5. Retention and account deletion

We retain account and service data only while it is needed to provide the application or satisfy a legitimate legal, security, or operational requirement. When an account is deleted, we delete or de-identify the data associated with that account, except information we must retain by law or for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements. Residual copies in backups are removed through the normal backup-expiration process.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law and your organization’s account controls.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the application or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
